Laughs and Another race

On Friday Justin and I went to see the Seinfeld stand up comedy show.  We have never laughed so hard in my life.  There was a moment that I almost peed my pants because I was laughing so hard.  This is not a figure of speech, but a literal description!  Our seats were excellent and it was a very sereal experience to see Jerry Seinfeld, our little TV friend, in person.  Every skit was awesome, but my favorite quote of the whole night was . . . "having children is like owning a blender with no lid.  It works, but it sure does leave a mess."  This is something that the Palmer household is becoming very familiar with now that Evan is mobile.  We had an amazing night.  Jerry Seinfeld is one of the funniest people ever.
Then today, we both ran that Gainesville half marathon with our friends.  Our first race was a month ago at Disney and that was an incredible experience.  It was so emotional and exillerating. At first we thought that running a race in the town we live in would be boring compared to the Disney race, but we were wrong.  For obvious reasons it doesn't compare to the Disney, but it was equally interesting and equally fun.  One VERY long stretch of road was all hills and ended with a VERY steep uphill climb.  (Remember that this is probably the only street with hills in the whole city . . . maybe the whole of Florida).  Both of us did a very good job, and I even beat my time from the Disney race.  I came in at 2hrs 2min and Justin came in at 2hrs 3min.  We all had a really great time and we have officially become a running family.  It is extremely addicting.
We love you all hope you are doing well.

new tooth!!!

Congratulations to Evan!!!!!!!!  He is no longer the toothless wonder.  Evan welcomed his first tooth this weekend.  He has been working on this one tooth for about 3 months now, needless to say, it has been a long time coming!!  It is strange to feel his one sharp fang.  I love it so much, but I have to admit that I will miss my toothless little guy.

A match made in Heaven

The first weekend of February was the most wonderful weekend ever!!! We could not have imagined a more perfect time ever. First my parents flew to Florida and we had the chance to show off our beloved Gainesville. We, of course, took them to see Alligators, which they loved. Then we took them to swim with Manatees in Crystal River. In our humble opinion, this is one of the best things there is to do in all of Florida. We have been blessed to live so close to this wonder.
Now to the main event. On February 2, 2008 Justin and I were able to be sealed to our son in the Orlando Florida Temple. We feel like the luckiest people in the world to have Evan in our lives, and even luckier now that we will be with him forever. It was so beautiful to be in the sealing room, surrounded by family and friends. The coolest thing is that our sealer was one of the first missionaries in Chile with Justin's Grandpa. By far the best part was when they brought Evan in. He looked like an angel, staring around the room with wide eyes of confusion. Then they put him in my arms. Anyone who knows us knows that we are big cry babies. It was then that both Justin and I really started to flow. Evan looked up at me and smiled during the sealing. It was amazing!!!!!! We had lunch afterwards at the Yellow Dog Eats Cafe (we LOVE that place). The next day Justin got to bless Evan in church. It was beautiful to watch and I started to cry all over again. I can't believe how much Heavenly Father loves us!!!

Christmas 2007

We spent this Christmas in California with my family. It was the first time that our entire family was together for a significant period of time. Everything was so much fun. There are five bedrooms in the house and 11-13 people, and 2 babies (one on East Coast time) sleeping there. It was awesome!! We got family pictures in the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. It was great to just hang out with the family everyday. Evan's first Christmas was perfect, and we had the best time doting on him.  Of course everyone loved him . . . how could you not?  It was fun to catch up with my California friends, but didn't have nearly enough time to visit with them like I wanted to.

Entering the blog world
