Julie and Julia

I just got home from the movie theater, where I saw the movie Julie and Julia with some girlfriends. It was such an endearing movie and I can't stop thinking about those two lovable women. Eventhough it has not inspired me to cook (I don't think anything ever will) it has caused me to reflect on why I write a blog.

There are so many fascinating blogs that I love to read! I have never been much of a writer and I am certainly not the story-teller that I wish to be, but I love my blog! Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads it, if anyone actually cares what I am doing in my life. BUT then I realize that it doesn't matter whether "they" do or not. It is an outlet for me, it is a record that I live. It is a record of some of my life and that is enough I may not be very articulate, but I am honest. If my kids look back at this and know that I love them it is enough for me. If when my husband signs on he knows that I love him it is enough. I am not a perfect person, but I love my life (the good, the bad, and the ugly)!!! It is what makes me ... ME!

(random discovery: vinegar with a little bit of baking soda sprayed onto a baby puke stain actually makes the stain disappear. This was not the original intention of spraying the fabric, but a very happy result for me!)

Ok I know your intent was not to get comments from those of us who read silently most of the time----but I care and have enjoyed reading your blog and keeping "current" on your life. Thanks so much for writing and sharing your life with me:) ummm I have a blog too in case you didn't know I'd be happy to share, just say the word.

I love reading your blog also. It helps us stay up to date while you live so far away :) Blogs are a fun way to keep in touch. I need to be better at mine. Alycia, Teresa, Sarah, Serene, Sharley & I went to that movie the Friday before the wedding. We all enjoyed it. You used to like to cook when you lived at home. What happened?
I'm now clearing my throat so imagine the sound....you went to a movie on a Sunday?

I read your blog!!!! :)
I also saw that movie and loved it. Mostly because I love cooking, but who doesn't know that.
And you are right. It doesn't matter who reads it or follows it. It an outlet even if others may not find it interesting.
BTW-I do find yours interesting. Your boys are the cutest!!

I LOVED that movie, &I on the other hand absoulty LOVE to cook. Me, mom, Sarah, Serene and my friend Tearsa saw it the day I got into San Diego before all the wedding stuff. It was soo good :). In fact after I was so inspired to cook even more I went to the book store to find the cook book....and I do not know what that lady was thinking because it did NOT look like french cooking for the everyday American to me! haha. Anyways I LOVE you, and I always look at your blog. *kisssses*

Blogs are the best journal for me. And I'm glad that you let us all in on your life. I can totally picture you saying every word that you write. You are a very genuine (and entertaining) writer.
