Palmer Reunion: Day 1

This year Justin and his sister were charge of the Palmer Family Reunion. They decided it would be awesome to have some time in Calgary as a pre-reunion. Family drove up from their various homes and we took everyone to a Stampede breakfast. During the two weeks that Stampede is running you can eat breakfast and lunch for free all over the city. You just have to pick a day that works for you, arrive and they give you food. It is really fun!! This breakfast was REALLY good in addition to being fun (and there was very little line).

From the breakfast we hit Calgary Olympic Park where the 84 Olympics were held. Justin and some of the brave cousins did the fastest zip line in north America (it takes off from the top of the highest ski jump!!!! Then I did the Zorb with my sweetie! The Zorb is that clear plastic ball that you are strapped in and they roll you down a hill. OH MY GOODNESS IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! When you are inside you have no idea which way is up or down. I swear there were even a couple of times that we caught air. SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Though the ball sounds fun I think I would puke...I don't like anything that spins or flips me upside down anymore (not that I would try that right now anyway). Oh yes I'm going to the reunion-I sent you an email on Monday.

That ball looks like a blast. I really want to do the zip line.

I went zorbing in New Zealand and it was so awesome! We did the wet zorb though, where you are not strapped in and they throw in a bucket of water so you slide around ;)
